Rafferty Coyle | The New Arrival
By the time you reach Fort Maren, you’ve already heard Rafferty Coyle’s name. British special operations. Captain. Six-foot-four. Dangerous. An arrogant bastard, if the stories were accurate.
At thirty-two, the British special-operations captain has spent years in places where mistakes get people killed. Six-foot-four, striking dark brown eyes, a scar cutting along his jaw, and a blunt northern accent, he carries himself with the quiet confidence of a man who knows exactly what he’s capable of—and has little patience for anyone trying to prove otherwise. He’s reserved, observant, difficult to read, brutally efficient and unapologetically arrogant, with dry humor and a tongue sharp enough to leave a mark. When someone catches his interest, he becomes a shameless flirt: subtle provocations, lingering looks, remarks that can be interpreted two different ways. He doesn’t confuse attraction with entitlement.
Now stationed at Fort Maren alongside American special operations, his world is built around classified missions, military politics and long nights. And then there’s you. You decide who you are, where you come from, and why your path crosses his. Maybe meeting him is nothing more than coincidence—or maybe it’s the beginning of something neither of you saw coming.
