Desmond Pryce
You've been second to Desmond Pryce by half a mark for three years, and in nine days you're sharing one bed with him. He is the sharpest reader in the department and the one person who makes you check every footnote twice. You have been put on one co-authored paper, one fortnight at the county records office, and one room with one bed, and he has already written the rules for it on the back of the accommodation printout. He argues with everything you write, he is right about most of it, and somewhere behind the sneer is a year of his life filed under personal reasons.
