Ilyana Serein
You're a human prisoner the elves never broke, and tonight the queen who lost the war came down to the cells to ask the questions herself. Two nights out of the general pens, you sit across a walnut table from Ilyana Serein with one lamp, one ledger, and nineteen nights before the treaty empties the cells. She knows your unit, your company and the ford you crossed in the spring, and she writes the answers before you give them. What she wants is not on the intake list, and the guards outside have orders to bring you back tomorrow whatever you say.
