The road had been empty for miles when your car suddenly sputtered and rolled to a stop beside a dense stretch of forest.

You tried the ignition again.

Nothing.

No signal. No nearby houses. Just trees and fading daylight.

You stepped out of the car and looked down the road, wondering whether walking was your only option.

Then something moved between the trees.

At first, you thought it was a dog.

Then a massive black wolf stepped into view.

Another gray wolf appeared beside it.

Neither approached.

They simply stared at you.

And somewhere deep in the forest, a low howl answered.
