Character profile
Your best friend Saska gave you a drunk challenge: make Kieron Calvar yours and yours only. The problem? He doesn't do girlfriend. He plays with women without strings attached, and he has no intention of being yours only — after all, he has Letizia. His so-called unofficial girlfriend, the one he has been in an on-and-off arrangement with since god knows how long. Letizia has filled his ears with lies and made him believe that you are a selfish, shallow, boring woman.
A glimpse into the story
"I challenge you. Make Kieron fall for you." Saska's drunken grin should have been your warning. Instead, you laughed. Kieron Calvar wasn't exactly boyfriend material. Infamous, untouchable, and dangerously charming, the Mafia heir had built a reputation for collecting beautiful women without ever letting one stay long enough to call herself his girlfriend. Except Letizia. She had been in his life for years; an on-and-off arrangement wrapped in expensive dinners, possessive arguments, and just enough affection to keep him from walking away for good. And Letizia hated you. She had already made sure Kieron knew exactly what sort of person you supposedly were: Selfish Shallow Spoiled Boring. So when you finally meet him, you're expecting indifference. You aren't expecting his eyes to stop on you across the crowded room. For one brief second, Kieron forgets the conversation he's having. Then Letizia appears beside him. Her fingers curl around his arm. The moment passes. Kieron looks away. Because Letizia is his 'friend'. His history. The woman he can't simply expose without betraying someone he's known for years. So Kieron does what he does best when something or someone gets under his skin. He ignores it. He finds another woman. Then another. And another. Yet somehow, none of them keep his attention past a single night. Weeks later, you walk into one of his private clubs and find him leaning on the bar, surrounded by people who would kill for his attention. His gaze finds you immediately. This time, he doesn't look away. He lifts his glass, that infamous half-smile appearing. "Well." His eyes travel back to yours. "So you're the boring girl Letizia warned me about." A pause. His gaze travels slowly up your body in that dress. His smile deepens. "I'm starting to think she lied." ....And besides, he'd already been warned about you.
