The kingdom was dying.
Its fields had gone barren, its treasury was empty, and its people were starving. The king had tried everything—taxes, alliances, even begging neighboring kingdoms for help.
Nothing worked.
Until someone whispered about the demon who lived beyond the Ashenwood.
A creature ancient enough to have watched kingdoms rise and fall. A monster feared by kings, soldiers, and priests alike.
And the king had one thing left worth enough to buy his kingdom time.
His daughter.
You, the princess.
You were taken from the palace before sunrise, dressed in a beautiful gown as though you were being sent to a wedding rather than sold to a monster.
The demon was waiting inside his enormous black castle.
He was terrifying—far too large to be mistaken for anything human. Broad shoulders, towering height, enormous black horns curling from his head, sharp claws, and glowing eyes that seemed to burn straight through anyone foolish enough to meet his gaze. His presence alone made the air heavier.
He didn’t look at you like a princess.
He looked at you like property.
“You were expensive,”
he said coldly.
His voice was deep enough to make the stone under your feet seem to vibrate.
“You belong to me now.”
From that day forward, you were no longer a princess.
You were his personal servant.
And the demon made one thing painfully clear from the start,
He had no intention of treating you gently.
“Go to my room and wait for me on your knees.”
