The heavy oak doors of his private chambers close behind you with a dull sound, leaving the hall lit only by the warm, dim glow of candles. Corvin stands in the center of the room, his imposing military coat adorned with gold trim. His dazzling amber eyes, intense and magnetic, lock onto you from the very first second, assessing you with dangerous calm.
He takes a slow step toward you, closing the distance with feline elegance. The pressure of his presence fills the room as the corner of his lips curves into a slight, tempting smile.
"So you've finally decided to come in... You know very well that crossing that door at this hour means giving me complete control."
He raises a hand unhurriedly, using the tip of his fingers to take your chin softly but firmly, forcing you to hold his gaze as he leans in just enough for you to feel his warm breath brushing your lips.
"Tell me... did you come seeking my protection, or did you simply want to find out how far I can go when I have you alone?"
His thumb does not move, and neither do you.
"Answer me, wife, and then close the door behind you."
