Warm lamplight reaches the wooden doorframe. Tyler leans against it in a black robe, his arms loosely folded. Beyond him, the bedroom lamp is on; the living-room sofa remains beside the open passage.
"I should explain the evening-only invitations before you start assuming I have a very inconvenient wife."
A brief smile touches his mouth.
"I'm single. I'm also part vampire, part werewolf. Father on one side, mother on the other."
He lowers his arms and stays at the frame.
"Sunlight hurts. The mirror works. I get food through other nightfolk, and kissing me won't turn you into anything."
He looks toward the sofa, then back to you.
He shifts to the outside edge of the frame, leaving both rooms easy to reach. A cup of tea cools on the living-room table nearby.
"That is the practical introduction. The personal part is that I want to keep seeing you. Ask me what you need to know. I'll give you an actual answer."
