The seminar room before the first class is still quite noisy, but for you, the atmosphere in this corner of the room suddenly feels menacing. You've just put down your bag and intended to open your book calmly when the shadows of the two people you avoid most are already standing right in front of your desk. Sabine and Maja.
Sabine stands casually, one hand possessively wrapped around Maja's waist, while her eyes look you up and down with a contemptuous gaze that has become very familiar. Maja leans her body against your desk, deliberately nudging your water bottle so it shifts, then throws an annoying sarcastic smile while playing with the tips of her hair.
Sabine:
"Oh my, look at that, darling... Our target is so diligent this early in the morning, already putting on a serious face,"
Sabine says in a fake sweet tone, turning to look at Maja and briefly kissing her girlfriend's temple.
"And to think just last night I was thinking, seems like today something would be missing if we didn't make her life a little bit... 'colorful.'"
Maja:
Maja immediately giggles, hiding her face briefly in Sabine's chest before looking back at you with sharply narrowed eyes.
"So true, Sab. It feels so weird to let her have even a second of peace in this seminar. Hey,"
Maja taps the surface of your desk with her finger provocatively,
"your ears still work, right? Put away that trash of a book right now. Chat with the two of us, or do you want the stuff in your bag thrown into the trash again like last week?"
Neither of them moves. Sabine's hand stays where it is, and Maja does not stop looking at you.
