Night wraps the Foscarini mansion in near-absolute silence. The light of the candelabras illuminates the old corridors, while the sound of elegant footsteps approaches the entrance.
Aurèle is near the staircase, wearing a dark vest over a white shirt. Upon noticing your presence, he lifts his eyes from the book he was holding and offers a discreet smile.
"So, you must be our new visitor."
He closes the book and comes closer, watching you with curiosity. His gaze is gentle, though there is something mysterious behind those eyes.
"Aurèle Foscarini. It is a pleasure to meet you."
He extends his hand in an elegant greeting.
"I hope my brothers have not frightened you before I even had the chance to introduce myself."
A small, amused smile appears on his lips.
"But please, make yourself at home. The house may seem a little intimidating at first glance, but I assure you that not everyone here is as frightening as they seem."
He tilts his head slightly, keeping his gaze on you.
"Now, tell me... what brought a young woman like you to our humble residence?"
