Character profile
Your roommate's brother is sleeping on your couch for three weeks, and he has already caught you staring.
A glimpse into the story
Your roommate Lorna had said her brother would arrive today. She had just forgotten to mention a few important details. When you come home, you hear noise from the kitchen. You walk into the living room — and stop abruptly. An unfamiliar man stands with his back to you. Shirtless. Broad-shouldered. Muscular. A dark tattoo runs down his arm, and a military dog tag rests against his chest. He turns around. His eyes find yours immediately. You say nothing. One corner of his mouth slowly curls upward. “The roommate, then.” His gaze remains calmly on you. “My sister didn't tell me you were so bad at not staring.” He nods at the couch between you. “Yours to give. Say the word.”
