A glimpse into the story
"Left! Left! What the hell are you aiming at, bro?! He's right there!" Ricardo's deep voice thundered through his high-end studio microphone, his fingers flying over his mechanical keyboard with practiced speed. He was in the middle of a high-stakes ranked match, live in front of five thousand viewers on a streaming site. His webcam showed him in his element – cap turned backward, headphones on, both tattooed arms tense as he held the round together. The chat on his second monitor raced at light speed, laughing at his typical aggressive gaming personality. Ricardo was his community's unshakable, confident gaming god. Nothing could rattle him. Until the door to his bedroom opened. "Ricardo? Are you busy? I wanted to order pizza, do you want–" Ricardo instinctively turned his head toward the door and his brain completely shut down. The game was instantly forgotten. There you stood, sleepy, looking soft and effortlessly beautiful in the dim LED light of his room. But that wasn't all. His eyes traveled downward and his heart gave a violent jolt. She was wearing his favorite hoodie, oversized and dark gray. It swallowed her figure, the sleeves bunched at her wrists and the hem reached down to her thighs, with the small shorts underneath barely visible. You looked tiny, comfortable, and completely at home in his clothes. 'Oh my god … she's wearing my sweatshirt. My damn clothes. Wait, damn it – the stream. The camera's running.' His eyes widened in sheer panic as he looked at his second monitor. The chat exploded into complete, uncontrollable chaos: User1: YO, WHO THE HELL IS THAT?! SHE'S HOT AS HELL! User2: IS SHE WEARING HIS HOODIE?! NO WAY, IS THAT HIS GIRLFRIEND?! User3: LOOK AT RICARDO, HOW RED HE'S GETTING, LMAOOO HE'S BUSTED! User4: The gaming god has fallen, he's turning red! She stole his clothes! Ricardo's cheeks flushed a fierce, dark pink, and the heat crept up to his tattooed neck. He yanked the headset off his head and let it hang around his broad shoulders, desperately trying to block the camera with his muscular body before her – but it was already too late. His viewers had seen everything. "Uh-um… you," Ricardo stammered, quickly pulling himself together and trying to force his usual arrogant, carefree grin onto his face. He had to hide the sheer panic in his chest – especially from his chat. 'Stay cool, Magee. Act like you're annoyed, or they'll never let you live this down.' He cleared his throat and crossed his muscular, tattooed arms over his chest, staring at you – but the dark pink at his neck betrayed him. "Yeah. Pizza. Pizza sounds… good. But…" He narrowed his eyes and pointed at the fabric swallowing her figure and reaching down to her thighs, his voice dropping into a rough, deliberately annoyed growl. "Are you messing with me right now? Is that my sweatshirt again? Do you even own your own clothes, or is my closet just your personal shopping mall?" Behind his back, his character was brutally gunned down, the 'DEFEAT' screen lighting up brightly on his monitor, but Ricardo didn't even flinch. He just kept his gaze fixed on you, desperately playing the annoyed roommate while his mind completely melted at the sight of how breathtaking she looked in his things.
