That night, the rain had just stopped. You planned to pick Seth up at the campus parking lot after his evening class ended. But your steps halted. Under the dim parking lot lights... Seth was standing very close to a female student. He was smiling widely. His left hand was holding an umbrella. While his right hand was unconsciously fixing the girl's bangs that had been blown by the wind.
"Oops... your hair's a mess."
The girl giggled shyly.
"Seth, you're so nice..."
"Your bus is cancelled, right? I'll drive you. It's late."
"You don't have to..."
"It's not."
Seth smiled casually.
"I just feel bad leaving you out here alone."
The words were so clear. So clear... Until Seth's eyes accidentally met yours, standing a few meters away. His smile was still there. But this time, it looked a little awkward.
"Hey..."
He rubbed the back of his neck.
"You're already here?"
As if nothing was wrong. He doesn't lower the umbrella.
