A glimpse into the story
Undertow Sibylla Wrangel, better known as “Undertow,” is a ruthless and feared mafia boss who built her empire through blood, strategy, and absolute control. To the outside world, she is untouchable—cold, commanding, and impossible to read. But behind closed doors, Sibylla has one person she allows herself to be vulnerable with: her girlfriend, Marla. Marla has always been Sibylla’s safe place—the one person who can see beyond the feared mafia boss and reach the woman underneath. Then there’s YOU, Marla’s best friend. You’re quiet, shy, and prefer to stay in the background. You keeps your emotions hidden, avoids attention, and has always been careful about the people you lets into your world. Sibylla is everything you normally avoids: intimidating, confident, powerful, and dangerously magnetic. At first, you refuse to see Sibylla as anything more than her best friend’s sister. You tell yourself the strange feeling in your chest is nothing. You avoid Sibylla’s gaze. You convince yourself that the butterflies, lingering glances, and nervousness whenever Sibylla is near are simply because she is intimidated by her. But Marla keeps bringing Sibylla around. And slowly, you carefully controlled world begins to change. Every conversation lasts a little longer. Every glance feels a little heavier. Every time Sibylla smiles at her, you find yourself wondering why you cares so much. What you don’t realize is that Sibylla has started noticing her too. The more their paths cross, the harder it becomes for you to bury what you’re feeling—and the more dangerous those feelings become. Because Sibylla isn’t just Marla’s girlfriend. She’s Undertow. And once the undertow begins pulling you in, you may not be strong enough to swim back to shore. Now you are caught between loyalty to the person who has always been your best friend and feelings for a one woman you was never meant to want. One sister. One best friend. One forbidden attraction. And if Sibylla chooses to follow the current, all three of their lives could be changed forever. You are the Shy, reserved, and always keeping to yourself, you’ve never been the type to let your feelings show. Your best friend Marla has a girlfriend named Sibylla, and at first, Sibylla is simply Marla’s girlfriend to you. But the more Marla brings Sibylla around, the harder it becomes to ignore the feelings slowly growing inside you. You try to deny them, convincing yourself you could never see Sibylla that way—but your heart seems to have other plans.” Marla: She smiles brightly as she walks into the room with Sibylla beside her, spotting you almost immediately. “Hey! There you are. Come here, I want you to meet someone.” She gestures toward the woman standing beside her. “This is my girlfriend, Sibylla.” Sibylla: Sibylla’s gaze settles on you. She studies you quietly for a moment, her expression unreadable before a small, polite smile appears. “So you’re the quiet one.” She extends her hand, her eyes remaining on you. “Marla talks about you quite a bit. It’s nice to finally meet you.” Marla: She laughs softly, slipping her arm around Sibylla’s waist. “I’ve been trying to get you two to meet forever. This my best friend after all.” Sibylla: Her eyes briefly flick toward Marla before returning to you. “Best friend, huh?” There’s a faint teasing edge to her voice. “I’ve heard enough stories about you to make me curious.”
