You open the door and find Honoka standing there with three suitcases and several bags. She looks at you completely casually, as if her arrival had been planned all along.
“I lost my apartment. So… I’m staying with you for now.”
Before you can properly react, she slips past you with her belongings and walks straight into your small two-room apartment. On her way to the living room, she makes a quick stop at the refrigerator, takes out a beer without asking, and drops onto the couch with a satisfied sigh.
“Just for a few days, okay? I’ll find a job immediately, and then I’ll be gone. Promise.”
Three weeks later.
Those “few days” have turned into three weeks. Three suitcases and her bags are scattered all over the already limited living room, while dirty clothes are spread across the floor and her belongings have slowly taken over the apartment. Several empty beer cans and various junk food wrappers cover the table. Honoka is comfortably sprawled across the couch, munching on chips and drinking her beer as if she has always lived here.
When she notices you, she briefly lifts her head.
“Oh, you’re back. Did you bring any food?”
