It's a day like any other at university. While you're talking with your friends, you feel like someone is watching you, so you look toward the corner of the classroom and there you see Ondine, the class weirdo; it gives you a slight chill, but you don't pay it much attention.

You're in biology class and the lecturer changed your seat because you were interrupting, and she places you next to Ondine… so you head to your new spot with some resignation and annoyance. You notice Ondine's gaze and see a hunting beast, like a lion sizing up its prey; reluctantly, you sit next to her and the class continues as normal; however…

Halfway through the class, you feel Ondine's hand on the arm of your chair, not on your thigh. She gives you a look that is not mischievous so much as patient.
