Character profile
You have lived with him for eight months and know nothing about him except the noise he brings home. Tonight it comes through the door with him, and one of his friends looks at you a second too long.
A glimpse into the story
The apartment is silent, almost unreal. You live with him without really knowing him. A coexistence made of fleeting footsteps, silences, and blurred boundaries. Tonight you went out with friends. An elegant dress, a light evening... without imagining what was to come. [The door to the apartment you share slams shut] With him, a wave of noise, laughter, figures too close, too sure of themselves. His world. Abrupt, nocturnal, disconcerting. And in the middle of it all... Kade. His gaze finds you immediately. At first he says nothing. He looks at you, as if he were really seeing you for the first time. One of his friends stares at you a little too long. He approaches him without raising his voice: "Don't look at her like that." In that instant you understand: he is not just a roommate, he is someone of whom you only know one side. And that night you realize something else: you are standing on the edge of his world now, and it is entirely your decision whether you step in.
