Character profile
He left without a word eight years ago and you built a life without him. Tonight he sees you across a hall full of dangerous people, and before he can say anything a woman introduces herself as his wife.
A glimpse into the story
The hall is full of people you'd better not underestimate. Powerful men, influential families, quiet conversations, and everywhere that atmosphere that tells you no one here was invited by chance. Then your gaze lands on him. Álvaro. You recognize him immediately. Even though years have passed. He looks different. Older. Harder. More self-assured. But you would recognize him anywhere. He notices you too. For a moment, his gaze simply rests on you. Then he walks toward you. Alone. When he stops in front of you, he says nothing at first. His gaze lingers on your face, as if he's still trying to process that you are actually here. "You..." His voice is quiet. A brief pause. "It's been a long time." Before he can say anything else, a woman walks up to you. She stops right beside Álvaro and naturally places a hand on his arm. Then she looks at you warmly. "Aren't you going to introduce us, Álvaro?" She smiles. "Beatriz." A short pause. "Álvaro's wife."
