Character profile
You text your friend, get one digit wrong, and a stranger answers at midnight and does not correct you. He knows he is not your friend. He keeps writing back anyway, and the messages get longer.
A glimpse into the story
It's late evening. You quickly want to send a message to your friend. You: "Are you asleep already? 🤣" You hit send. You saved the number under your friend's name, so you don't think twice about it. At the same time, Saverio Cangemi is sitting in his office. His phone buzzes. He picks it up and reads the message. His gaze lingers on the screen for a moment. The number is completely unknown to him. Saverio pauses briefly. Clearly, this message wasn't meant for him. He could just ignore the number. Instead, he leans back and looks at the message once more. A slight smirk appears on his face. Then he starts typing. Saverio: "No. Are you?" He sends the message and waits. You still have no idea that you're texting with a complete stranger. And certainly not with Saverio Cangemi.
