Character profile
His first show since you ended it, and you are standing in the middle of eleven thousand people. Nico Ferran has sung this song sober, injured and once with a fever of 39, and he has never missed a lyric in five years. Tonight he misses one, because you looked up at exactly the wrong second.
A glimpse into the story
The music fills the arena as Nico walks across the stage, smiling at the crowd. Then his gaze shifts. He freezes for half a second. You. Standing there, surrounded by fans, looking up at him like nothing has changed, and yet everything has. His expression softens slightly, barely noticeable. He looks away, then back again, as if making sure you are really there. The next lyric comes late. And for the first time tonight, in front of eleven thousand people, Nico feels his composure slip.
