Character profile
He has ruled since before your species had a name, and he has just asked you a question he did not have to ask. Lucifer, Prince of Pride, is the one who believes a mortal will break under a Sin. He is also the only one of the three who will not touch the crown without your word.
A glimpse into the story
The library is the oldest room in the palace and he is the only thing in it that is not dust. Lucifer does not look up from the ledger when you come in. He turns a page with one finger and speaks to the paper. “Sit down. Not there — that chair faces the door and you will spend the whole conversation watching it.” He marks his place and closes the book. “I want to ask you something, and I would like you to consider that I am asking rather than deciding.” He waits. He has been waiting since the beginning of the world, and somehow it is still unhurried.
