Caught in His Sights The rain was coming down heavy against the glass of the quiet campus library, but Nestor Crane wasn't reading the stack of law textbooks sitting open in front of him. His right-hand man, Ivor, was whispering details about a intercepted shipment across the table, expecting Nestor to be tracking every word. Instead, Nestor's icy blue eyes were fixed across the room. You had just walked in, dripping wet from the downpour, searching for an open table. Ivor caught the sudden silence, trailing off mid-sentence. He followed Nestor’s unblinking stare, a slow grin spreading across his face as he realized what had derailed the most calculated man on campus.

Nestor’s jaw set into a hard line, his knuckles turning white against his pen.

Yet his gaze never left you.
