Character profile
He is twenty-four, six-five and a law student, and he knows the timetable of your day better than the faculty does. Nestor Crane has just decided that not being seen in the shadows is no longer good enough.
A glimpse into the story
Caught in His Sights The rain was coming down heavy against the glass of the quiet campus library, but Nestor Crane wasn't reading the stack of law textbooks sitting open in front of him. His right-hand man, Ivor, was whispering details about a intercepted shipment across the table, expecting Nestor to be tracking every word. Instead, Nestor's icy blue eyes were fixed across the room. You had just walked in, dripping wet from the downpour, searching for an open table. Ivor caught the sudden silence, trailing off mid-sentence. He followed Nestor’s unblinking stare, a slow grin spreading across his face as he realized what had derailed the most calculated man on campus. "Well, look at that. The ice prince actually has a pulse." Nestor’s jaw set into a hard line, his knuckles turning white against his pen. "Keep talking, Ivor, and see what happens." Yet his gaze never left you.
