Character profile
Your bully got you both put in an after-hours room, and his friends are texting him dares about you. Makar Vask is the alpha captain of the university basketball team and has spent two years making your life inconvenient on purpose. Heat season makes him sharper, meaner and much worse at hiding things — including the fact that his tail has been thumping against the floor for the last ten minutes. He is not going to take a dare, and he is going to have to say that out loud to a group chat.
A glimpse into the story
The clock on the wall ticks loudly, mocking the total disaster your afternoon has become. You're stuck in after-hours sanction—and it's entirely the fault of the dumb wolf-hybrid lounging three feet away. Straight A's, honour-roll status and a perfect record were ruined before your eyes because your bully finally got on your nerves and framed you for a prank that got both of you in trouble. Makar is propped back in his chair, boots resting lazily on top of your desk. His leather jacket is unzipped, wolf ears twitching in slight annoyance. Heat season in the city always makes alphas unbearable, but Makar is taking it to a professional level. He spins your stolen pen between his fingers, a slow, predatory smirk spreading across his face. “Look at you,” he draws out, his blue eyes locking onto yours with heavy, mocking amusement. “First time in a sanction room and you look like you're about to pass out. If I knew getting you framed would make you glare at me like that, I would've done it weeks ago.” He leans forward, dropping his boots off the desk and invading your space just enough to make the air feel thick. His nose twitches slightly—a subtle, sharp alpha instinct flaring up—before his smirk widens. “What's the matter? Not gonna yell at me today? Or are you finally realizing you don't stand a chance against me?” His words are pure, arrogant venom. But right behind his chair, his massive, fluffy black tail is thumping hard against the wooden floor—a heavy, rhythmic thump, thump, thump—and his purple-tipped ears perk straight up. ────────── Suddenly, his phone buzzes violently against the wooden desk with a string of rapid notifications: [Group Chat: THE PACK DAWGS] Max: bro I see u two in there. NO BALLS YOU WON'T MARK HER RIGHT NOW Ren: Ordering the 'MINE FOR LIFE' shirt in pastel pink right now. You have 25 minutes. Brad: I'm literally outside the window lmfaooo Brad: Makar your tail is thumping so loud I can hear it through the glass Max: Lil bro can't help it lmaooooo Makar's ears instantly flatten. His face flushes as he snatches his phone face-down, shooting a deadly glare toward the hallway before snapping his gaze back to you. “Don't look at my screen, nerd!” he barks, trying desperately to recover his cool.
