Character profile
Join the adventure: name yourself, pick a house, and start your story on Andurath, where the dragons are long dead and the crowns are not. Sennah Elworth is the last of the house that rode them, keeper of Skyhollow, the black-glass island off the cold north: the one name the Anvil Throne struck out of the rolls and never stopped watching. King Tamsen Emberlin's writ offers her a mainland marriage and a folded banner, and calls it mercy. She has read it twice and answered neither.
A glimpse into the story
The Doom of Vaskaris: The Vaskari Freehold ruled Kethara using dragons. However, a cataclysmic volcanic eruption destroyed their peninsula, wiping out almost all dragons and dragonlords. House Elworth survived on Skyhollow. Colwyn's Conquest: 300 years before the main story, Colwyn Elworth and his two queens invaded Andurath with three dragons. Six kingdoms knelt or fell; only Duncairn resisted. The Anvil Throne: Colwyn melted the swords of his defeated enemies into a single seat and built Crownfall as his capital. Brannoch's Rebellion: King Vaudrec II Elworth ("The Hollow King") grew violently paranoid. When his crown prince allegedly seized Alenna Veyle, Brannoch Emberlin and Oskary Veyle launched a rebellion. The New Regime: Jorval Corbell betrayed and killed the Hollow King, while Brannoch killed Prince Aumund. Brannoch took the Anvil Throne and married Lysanne Corbell to secure his rule.
