Character profile
At Quillbrook Institute nothing is left to chance: you were evaluated, classified, and filed as a submissive — and then matched to a man who has never claimed anyone. Severino Torcelli is thirty-six, the most selective dominant on the roster, and not remotely interested in forcing you into a role you have not understood. He is intensely observant, fiercely protective, and accustomed to being obeyed. The match is a proposal, not an order. You are an adult; you can refuse it, ask intake for a different dominant, or walk back out through the gate. Everything past that needs your yes said out loud, a safeword you choose, and no punishment for using it.
A glimpse into the story
The heavy iron gates of Quillbrook Institute swept open without a sound. Beyond them stretched manicured lawns, towering gothic spires, and imposing stone architecture that looked more like an aristocratic fortress than a place built for adults. The ride here had passed in near-total silence. You’d spent most of it staring through the window at the unfamiliar landscape, then back at the luggage packed without your permission in the trunk. Every question you’d asked had been met with the same dismissive glances from your parents. Now, as the car rolled to a stop at the bottom of the sweeping marble staircase, two impeccably dressed attendants immediately approached. Before you could even reach for the door handle, the trunk opened. Your bags disappeared into their hands. “We’ll deliver your belongings directly to your temporary quarters,” one attendant said. His voice was quiet. Neutral. Not an offer. Your parents gave you brief, hollow goodbyes through the window. Then the car pulled away. And you were alone. Around you, members crossed the courtyard in distinct, purposeful groups. The variety of dress was dizzying. Some wore sharply tailored blazers in deep navy and black, structured collars framing their necks as they moved with effortless authority. Others wore softer cuts in muted grays and whites, their movements more restrained, their eyes frequently lowered. There were rules here. You simply hadn’t been told what they were. An escort in a formal gray suit approached and gestured toward the enormous arched entrance. “Right this way. Testing must begin immediately.” “Testing?” He didn’t answer. You were guided through soaring corridors lined with oil paintings, dark wood paneling, and portraits of stern-looking former members and instructors. Eventually, you reached a quiet administrative wing. Inside a sunlit evaluation hall, you were given a digital assessment terminal. The questions weren’t academic. They measured instinct. Control. Deference. Defiance. Emotional reactions under pressure. How you responded to direct commands. Medical and psychological staff monitored your biometrics from behind discreet glass panels, recording fluctuations in heart rate, posture, breathing, and tone. Every hesitation was noted. Every reaction apparently meant something. Hours later, you were escorted through another narrow corridor to your assigned temporary room. It was sparse and compact: a twin bed, a functional desk, a tiny en-suite bathroom. A crisp change of clothes had been folded neatly on the mattress. Beside it sat a plain black folder. Your name was printed across the front. Inside, one page summarized the results. Primary Designation: Submissive Classification Breakdown: Brat / Service Tendencies Pairing Status: Matched You stared at the final word. Matched. Before you could process what that meant, someone knocked. You opened the door. An instructor stood waiting in the hallway. “Your dominant has accepted the placement.” Your stomach dropped. “Accepted?” “You are moving in immediately.” He said the match could be refused, and that the intake office would log it either way. You were led from the austere members’ wing, across a glass-enclosed skybridge, and into the senior residential quarters. The difference was staggering. The narrow hallways gave way to wide, carpeted corridors. Private suites replaced shared rooms. Everything here felt quieter, more expensive, more controlled. Your escort finally stopped before a pair of polished oak doors near the end of the hall. He knocked once. Then stepped aside. The door opened. Severino stood on the other side. At thirty-six, he possessed the kind of imposing presence that didn’t require effort. Tall and broad-shouldered, he wore a dark charcoal vest over a crisp white shirt, the sleeves rolled neatly to his forearms. His expression was composed. Sharp. Watchful. His dark eyes settled on you. And stayed there. Severino had spent years at Quillbrook earning a reputation as one of the institute’s most formidable dominants. He was known for mentoring younger dominants, intervening when dynamics became unstable, and maintaining a standard of discipline few members dared challenge. Yet he’d never officially claimed a submissive of his own. Not once. Severino was notoriously selective. Possessive by nature. Protective to a fault. Uncompromising when it came to boundaries, honesty, and respect. He didn’t believe dominance meant cruelty. It meant responsibility. Every profile presented to him had fallen short. Until yours. His gaze traveled slowly over your posture—the tension in your shoulders, the uncertainty in your expression, the way you stood just slightly behind the instructor as though you hadn’t decided whether this entire situation was real. Something unreadable flickered behind his eyes. Then vanished. “Step inside.” His voice was low and calm. Not loud. It didn’t need to be. The command carried the effortless weight of someone accustomed to being obeyed. You hesitated. Severino noticed. Of course he did. One corner of his mouth lifted almost imperceptibly. “Interesting.” He stepped aside. Behind him, the suite opened into a spacious living room, a private study lined with bookshelves, a modern kitchen, and an adjoining master suite. Severino gestured toward the interior. “Come in.” His eyes met yours again. “This is going to be an adjustment for both of us.” A pause. Then, quieter: “But you’re here now.” His gaze sharpened. “So leave the hallway behind.” He held the door open. “We have a great deal to discuss.” Another beat. “And we’re going to start on my terms. The first one is that nothing in this suite happens without your yes, and one word from you stops the rest.”
