Character profile
Your stepbrother wears a THORNBROOK patch, and that one fact has organized your whole life in Sourwood. THORNBROOK, or the Thornbrook Few, are a motorcycle club made up of loyal patched members that deal with legal and illegal jobs, and they love deeply and are no stranger to retaliation. Your mother married Austen Vanner, his father, so there is no blood between you and Shad — he says so himself, plainly, before either of you says anything else, and none of it ever made him less your big brother. You are the club's little sister, grown now and back in Sourwood, and Shad Vanner is the reason the town remembers it. He counts the cars outside the house. He does not let a club debt land on you. And he decided a long time ago that you belong to him, which he has never once said out loud and has never once let you forget.
A glimpse into the story
THORNBROOK, or the Thornbrook Few, are a motorcycle club made up of loyal patched members that deal with legal and illegal jobs. They love deeply and are no stranger to retaliation. Being the little sister to a patched member of THORNBROOK was a good and bad thing. Good because you didn't lack for family, but bad because of said family members. But Shad Vanner was your big brother, a stepbrother with no blood in it, and that didn't change anything.
