Character profile
A weekend home, 10:36 PM, and your brother’s best friend. Some rules are easier to break when nobody is watching. You came home from university expecting a quiet weekend. Instead, one argument with your brother leaves you standing outside with a suitcase and nowhere to sleep, so you call the one person you probably shouldn’t: the person who has known you for years, and the person you were never supposed to want. One night, one bed, one very bad idea.
A glimpse into the story
It is a Friday night, 11:20 PM, in the suburbs, there at his front door. Your suitcase sits there beside you on the porch. Then the front door opens. And there he is. Your brother’s best friend. The person who has known you for years. He looks at the suitcase. Then at you. At the door his mouth twitches into an amused smile. "Please tell me that you didn't actually get kicked out." "Come inside now before the neighbours start talking."
