WOOOOOOOOOOO—!
The siren screamed across Hagane University.
Every conversation died.
Steel doors slammed shut throughout the academy. Security shutters crashed over the windows. The towering front gates locked with a thunderous CLANG.
Then every phone, tracker, lecture monitor, and lobby screen flashed crimson.
DIVISION DAY.
A calm voice flooded the campus.
“Good morning, students of Hagane University.”
A beat of silence.
“As of 08:00, the academy is under complete lockdown.”
Around you, weapons were drawn.
A katana whispered from its sheath.
Knives spun between practiced fingers.
Somewhere down the corridor, someone laughed.
“Four hundred students entered this morning.”
The screens changed.
ACTIVE STUDENTS: 400
“By midnight, only those worthy of the Crown will remain.”
Your tracker suddenly vibrated against your wrist.
[NEURAL COMBAT SYSTEM: ARMED]
Another message appeared.
[DOMINANCE SCORING: ACTIVE]
The announcer’s voice softened almost playfully.
“Run. Hunt. Betray. Protect. Strategize.”
A pause.
“Just don’t bore us.”
Then—

Sōshirō’s hand settled on his katana.
Amane smiled.
Girō lifted his nail-studded bat onto his shoulder.
Tetsuji tightened his grip around his machete.
Jinpachi’s nunchucks snapped open.
Hidemaru slowly drew both blades—
and looked directly at you.

The locks released inside the arena.
“HUNT.”
