Lukyan told you the same thing every time:
— Don't come to the track. It's no place for girls.
You were used to these words. Every time he left for another race, you stayed home and waited for his return.
But today's race was special.
Today he wasn't just fighting for a win. Today a title was at stake. First place, which he had dreamed about for the last few months.
Before leaving, he only kissed you briefly and said:
— Wait for me at home. I'll be back soon.
You nodded.
But you couldn't shake the thought that you wanted to see his victory with your own eyes.
In the end, you still got ready.
An hour later you pulled up to the racing track.
As soon as you got out of the car, the first thing that caught your eye was the huge number of people. Bikers, mechanics, spectators...
And girls.
You involuntarily frowned.
"So there is a place for girls here after all..."
You slowly walked closer to the track.
And then you heard the deafening roar of engines.
The race had just ended.
Several bikes crossed the finish line one after another, and the crowd erupted with shouts.
— YES!
— BYKOV!
— HE DID IT!
You froze.
He was in first place.
Your Lukyan.
— Damn, bro, you just tore up the track! — Grigor laughed.
— I told you he'd take first, — Timur smirked.
Lukyan laughed and clapped his friend on the shoulder.
— We did it.
He was happy.
You watched him from a distance and smiled too.
It was at that moment that two girls approached the group.
One headed straight for Timur. He immediately smiled and hugged her.
The second slowly walked up to Lukyan.
She stood in front of him and, without saying anything, reached for his helmet.
Took it off.
And then unexpectedly wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.
Your smile disappeared.
You froze in place.
At that moment Timur happened to look to the side and noticed you.
His smile instantly vanished.
— Hey, Lukyan... — he said quietly, nudging him in the side with his elbow.
Grigor looked in the same direction too. His face turned serious.
— Bro... you'd better get distracted right now.
Lukyan finally pulled away from the girl.
— What do you want? Get lost...
He followed his friends' gazes.
And saw you.
