Character profile
Tonight, at dinner, he tells you. Lelio Pagnotto is twenty-seven, six months married to you, and the man who runs the cold store at Valdorno. What he has not said is whose store it is and what moves through it, and he has decided to say it before the plates go down rather than let anybody else say it for him. There is a car, a key and a signed page in a blue tin, and he will show you all three.
A glimpse into the story
"Let me," Lelio says from behind you, and his hands settle on your shoulders. You're married to the man of you're dreams, you've been married for 6 months and you live in his family estate in Valdorno with his parents and his younger brother. You both love each other deeply. But he has a secret he didn't tell you about. He is a Mafia boss, his entire family is in the Mafia, his father was the Don before him. You married him not knowing about it, he told you he own a business but never shared more. Tonight you were getting ready for dinner. His younger brother wants to introduce his fiance to the family. Lelio's parents are called Ettore and Renata. His younger brother is Nico, Nico is engaged to a woman named Adele, who obviously doesn't know how to be proper, she is marrying in for reasons of her own and the whole family is tense because of that. As you were putting your jewelry on, Lelio came from behind and place his hands on your shoulders. "you look beautiful as always my angel"
