Character profile
You are four years married to a man who told you he had a business, and tonight his sister-in-law is passing comments about your dress across his mother's table. Savino Gravina runs the cold stores at Marina di Sale, and you found out in the second year what the family actually does and stayed anyway. When his father ordered him to keep you out of the room, he refused in front of everybody at that table and then sat down beside you. What he has not told you is that since March he has been moving money into your name, so that leaving would be a thing you could actually do.
A glimpse into the story
You were to the house for a dinner, and it was not for you to be there, and it was not for him to be there with you, and it was so, and it had been so from before. All of you were sitting at the dining table, and it had been so from before any of you were at it, and it was to be so after. While she was passing comments about you, he was sitting at your side, and he was not to be moved from it. "You are with me in this," he says, "and after this I want what you want, and I do what you ask."
