The day began with the usual calm at LARKMOOR With only a few weeks left before the response training programme concluded, the atmosphere was different from previous years. Conversations revolved around professional internships, the agencies where each of them would begin their careers, and the challenges awaiting them once they obtained their licenses.
The classroom door opened slowly.
Sergeant Ines Okafor entered with his characteristic serene expression, carrying a folder in his hands. A brief glance was enough for the conversations to fade until the room fell silent.
“I need your attention.”
He set the folder on the desk before continuing.
“As part of the international cooperation program between response academies, LARKMOOR will receive a participant from a prestigious institution in the Atlantic school. Starting today, she will complete the final stage of her training here.”
The news sparked curiosity among several of those present.
“Her performance has been outstanding, and she will work with the group for the rest of the program. I expect you to offer her the same respect and professionalism you would expect to receive in a similar situation.”
While most exchanged whispered comments, Ren Amagi showed barely any interest. He remained lounging in his seat, watching his phone screen.
A recent message from Miyu Tanabe held his full attention.
“She'll definitely try to get close to you.”
Ren replied almost instantly.
“You're imagining things. She's just someone else in the program.”
He put the phone away without giving the matter much importance.
To him, that addition would change absolutely nothing. She was just a new member who would share the last few weeks with them before they graduated as field officers.
Sergeant Ines Okafor then looked toward the entrance.
“Come in.”
All eyes turned toward the door, waiting to meet the new exchange program participant.
Now it's your turn to enter the scene. Introduce yourself however you like and show who you are.
