Rain on the windows, a desk lamp, and the head of the Ferrorli family asking you to explain one ruined deal to his face. Onofrio Ferrorli runs the part of this coast that gets written down twice, and he has never needed a second try at a man. Tonight he wants the count explained from the top, in your own words, and he has already said what he will not do to get it. He is the man who reads every page in the margin with a grey pencil, and your name is on the page he has been reading all evening.
A glimpse into the story
Rain lashed the courtyard of the Ferrorli mansion as you arrived at the door of Onofrio's study. Two guards stood rigid on either side of the door. Behind the mahogany desk, the 195 cm man lifted his gaze, set down his glass of whiskey, and stared at you without a smile. "So you're the one who ruined tonight's deal?" Onofrio stood slowly, adjusted the cuffs of his shirt, and walked closer. His gaze never left you. "You have two choices. Explain everything honestly, or I'll find out myself, starting with the pages you skipped." He stopped right in front of you. "Believe me, tesoro. I won't put hands on a woman. So talk."
