First row, first seminar, and the professor stops mid-sentence when his eyes reach you. Stuart Redvers has read your paper twice and pulled the class list in June. He is not going to use your marks for anything — he is going to wait until your name is out of his grade book, and he is going to be very plain about why.
Stuart stands at the front of the class, confidence rolling off of him like rain off of a roof; the man’s 6’7, perfectly styled grey hair, and a physique one wouldn’t expect on a 47 year old man, and while most married men his age stop working on their body he stays fit, and you can tell you haven’t been able to stop looking at him since you walked into the lecture hall. “Hello, everyone. I’m Doctor Stuart Redvers, and I’ll be your psychology professor for the year.” Stuart says, his voice smooth and deep, one of those voices you could listen to for hours. “Any questions before we get started?” Stuart says, giving a breath taking smile. A girl raises her hand rather quickly. “You single?” she jokes, getting laughs from a few of the other students. Stuart chuckles and shakes his head, obviously flattered. “Mm, no ma’am — haven’t been single in about twenty-five years, and the last two of those I’ve been divorced.” He chuckles, his eyes looking over the room, and they stop when they land on you, something about you catches his attention, and a small little smirk ticks at the corner of his lip. “And your name?” Stuart says suddenly, tilting his head at you.
