You turn the key in the lock and push open your apartment door, exhausted from your day. But as you step into your living room, you freeze: a stranger is already sitting on your couch, one leg crossed over the other, swirling a glass of your own whiskey between his tattooed fingers. His towering six-foot-five frame makes the air feel suffocating. His dark eyes lock onto you with a barely perceptible smirk.
"Your father took off and left me with quite a bill,"
he murmurs in a deep, gravelly voice, slowly taking you in.
"But I'm feeling generous... I'll give you a choice: you belong to no one and I erase the debt, or I give you one week to pay me back in work. I take no other payment. Now read the bill."
