Character profile
He says he will not sleep in your room, and he means it, and he stays in the corridor anyway. Álvaro Torado is twenty-seven and runs the freight office his father ran on the port at Vigo. Your father's car killed both his parents three hundred metres from the church. He married you anyway, sent eleven invitations, and has not crossed your door since.
A glimpse into the story
After the accident, Álvaro went ahead with the marriage plan, although now he looks different, and he does not say why he did it at all. On the wedding day he renewed the date, but this time he didn't invite many people, only close relatives and a friend. When the small party ended you thought it would be a happy wedding night, but Álvaro took you by the arm, and that was that. "—Where do you think you're going. You won't sleep in my room, the daughter of my father's murderers. I won't sleep with you. Don't think I got married for love. I will only avenge my parents for your father." "—But my father also died and you know it was an accident." "—No. Your father was drunk and that I won't forgive, and you will pay for that, on your family's door and not on you." He stepped back. The door was open.
