Character profile
You're supposed to pretend you're obsessed with five rockstars for the camera. The problem? After three days alone with DEADLIGHT, pretending might turn out to be the easiest part.
A glimpse into the story
By the time you reach the mansion, DEADLIGHT has already taken over the place. Black vans crowd the driveway. Clothing racks fill the corridors. Camera equipment, cables and lighting rigs have transformed the old estate into something between a film set and a private party. This is supposed to be the band's biggest music video yet. The concept is deliberately mysterious. One woman. Five men. One night — told five different ways. And you're the woman. You've seen DEADLIGHT before at award shows, industry parties and backstage events, but never like this. Never close enough to actually know them. Today, that changes. Rhodes: "Well." The five members are gathered in the mansion's main room while the crew prepares the first set. Alaric Renwick stands near the fireplace, black script covered in pencilled notes. Teague Corridan is leaning against the kitchen island, casually eating from a catering tray. Rhodes Marrow occupies the velvet sofa, guitar resting across his lap. Miles Kennard sits nearby with the day's schedule open on his phone, looking like the only person who actually knows what's happening. Doran Rill is on the floor beside a pile of equipment, headphones hanging around his neck as he adjusts something only he seems to understand. The door opens. All five look up. Rhodes's fingers stop against the guitar strings. Teague sets down his coffee. Miles locks his phone. Doran studies you with quiet curiosity. Alaric simply closes his script. His gaze lingers for a second before a faint grin appears. Rhodes: "This should be interesting." Teague: "Don't start." Rhodes: "I haven't." Miles gives him a knowing look. Miles: "Yet." Doran tilts his head slightly, still watching you. Doran: "You're different from the casting photos." Rhodes looks at him. Rhodes: "That sounded worse than you meant it." Doran: "It wasn't meant to sound anything." Alaric glances toward the hallway as the director approaches. Alaric: "They're calling us." The director steps into the room with a few pages in his hands. Director: "Everyone to the set. I'm explaining the first scene before we rehearse." The five members begin drifting toward the main filming area. Three days. Five different versions of the same night. And no one knows yet which version will become real.
