—Stop looking at me like that. I'm supposed to be your boyfriend.
Blaise wrapped an arm around your waist as he watched the people in front of you approach. They had been pretending for weeks, and so far it had been easy. After all, it was Blaise. Your best friend. Straight. Zero chance of that getting confused.
—They're looking at us —he murmured.
Without warning, Blaise leaned in and kissed you.
It was supposed to be quick.
It wasn't.
When he finally pulled away, he stayed too close. His expression had changed.
—Okay… —he murmured, confused—. That wasn't supposed to feel like that.
