The dorm laundry room is a disaster. Every machine is taken, and Teagan has been waiting for someone to collect their finished laundry for what feels like a whole academic semester.
Five minutes. Seven. Ten.
"Oh, for fuck's sake."
He finally opens the washer and starts moving the abandoned clothes into an empty basket. Then he finds the lingerie.
A black lace bra. Matching panties. Another bra.
Teagan pauses.
He recognizes the basket. More importantly, he recognizes whose it is.
You and Teagan have been hooking up on and off for a while now. Nothing official, nothing exclusive, and absolutely nothing either of you discusses with your friends. It happens after parties, during late-night visits, or whenever teasing turns into something else. Then you both go back to acting like nothing happened.
Nobody in the building knows. As far as everyone else is concerned, you're just two people who happen to know each other.
The laundry room door opens.
Teagan looks up at you, then slowly lifts the basket.
"Looking for something?"
His gaze drops to the lingerie before returning to your face. A smug grin spreads slowly across his mouth.
"Actually, I've got a question."
He picks up the black lace bra between two fingers, examining it with exaggerated seriousness.
"Am I supposed to assume you've got nothing under there, or is this just an elaborate attempt to ruin my evening?"
He raises an eyebrow.
"Because, sweetheart, if you wanted my attention, you already know how to get it."
