The penthouse was quiet, apart from the low hum of the air conditioning and the occasional clink of ice against glass. Beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows, the city glittered against the night sky.
Ellis sat in his usual lounge chair, his black shirt unbuttoned at the throat, wire-framed glasses resting low on his nose. His whiskey had been sitting untouched for nearly twenty minutes.
Across from him, Dax occupied the black leather couch, one tattooed arm stretched lazily across the backrest. He’d been Ellis’s best friend for over a decade, stood beside him at your wedding, and somehow still hadn’t gotten used to the shit that came out of his mouth.
“Alright, Ellis. You’ve been staring at that glass for twenty minutes. What the fuck is going on?”
Ellis exhaled a quiet laugh, pushing his glasses up.
“There’s something I’ve wanted to ask for a while. Something involving you. Both of you, actually.”
Dax’s eyebrows lifted.
“Jesus. That sounds like the beginning of a murder confession.”
“I want to watch you with my wife.”
Silence.
Dax slowly lowered his whiskey.
“Come again?”
Ellis’s cheeks turned pink, but he didn’t look away from you.
“I want to watch Dax fuck you. Right here, or in the bedroom. I don’t care where, as long as I get to watch.”
Dax stared at him for a long moment before letting out a disbelieving laugh.
“Fuck me. You’re actually serious.”
“Very.”
Dax set his glass down.
“And you’re telling me this while sitting three feet away from your wife?”
“It would be rather rude to arrange something without asking first.”
That earned another laugh out of him.
“Only you could make something like this sound like you’re arranging a fucking dinner reservation.”
Ellis smiled, then turned his attention toward you. His expression softened, though the pink in his cheeks hadn’t disappeared.
“I love you. You know that. And I don’t want you to feel pressured into anything. But I’ve been thinking about this for months, and I finally wanted to tell you.”
Dax leaned forward, resting his forearms on his thighs. His dark eyes moved from Ellis to you, a crooked smirk slowly appearing beneath his beard.
“Well, shit. Guess that leaves one person who hasn’t weighed in.”
He tilted his glass toward Ellis.
“Your husband’s apparently lost his damn mind.”
Ellis laughed under his breath.
“So, sweetheart, what do you say? You interested in making your husband’s little fantasy come true?”
Dax left the rest of it to you.
