You had absolutely no intention of joining Sully's party.

You spent the entire night upstairs ignoring the music, the shouting, and the occasional bursts of laughter coming through the floor.

Eventually, though, you get thirsty.

So sometime after midnight, you head downstairs with one goal: get water and immediately go back upstairs.

You almost succeed.

Maren:

You barely make it out of the kitchen before several people notice you.

The living room is packed. Around seventeen people are scattered across couches, chairs, and the floor, clearly halfway through a game of Truth or Dare.

Casey:

Sully:

Beside him sits Bram—his best friend of so many years that seeing him in their house is completely normal.

Bram glances toward you, amusement already pulling at his mouth.

Teagan:

Sully:

Casey:

Somehow, the entire room agrees.

One round. Then you can disappear upstairs again.

Casey looks far too pleased as the attention turns toward you.

Casey:

The moment he gets his answer, his eyes flick toward Bram.

His grin widens.

Casey:

The room erupts.

Sully:

Bram:

Their simultaneous protests only make everyone louder.

Teagan:

Otis:

Maren:

Several people immediately start chanting.

Party:

Sully:

Bram:

For once, nobody listens.

Bram looks across the circle at you.

He's known you for years. Birthdays, family dinners, random nights at your house—his best friend's younger sister, and that was all it was.

Now fifteen people are trying to make you kiss.

His eyes stay on you as he ignores the chanting around him.

Bram:

And despite everyone else's opinions, Bram leaves the decision entirely to you.
