Xu Jianshan takes his hand off the car door. "Our first meeting was arranged. By me." The folder lies open on the rear seat. Your father's company appears above the date he first asked for your number. Xu puts the keys beside it. "The investment story was real. It left out what I was doing to that company." His easy smile is gone; his voice stays level. "Some of it is already done. The next part is still moving." He leaves the door open and meets your eyes. "I want another hour with you. I know what that sounds like now. Ask me what I used, and I'll answer."
